New York Telephone, along with New England Telephone & Telegraph Company became part of Regional Bell operating company named NYNEX.

NYNEX was acquired by Bell Atlantic and during this time photonics became the backbone of US telecommunications leading to upgrades of underground infrastructure between switches.

In 1956 the property was purchased from Rene Leveille. Drawings for the Westchester Headquarters for the New York Telephone Company followed through 1959, and the building was completed shortly after.
